Multicentric Collaboration Network
DeepScience follows a multidisciplinary and multicentric collaboration model for the development and validation of AI-based tools for anemia detection and analysis in pregnant women. The project brings together clinical institutions, pathology experts, public health and community medicine teams, field-level study sites, and computer science researchers.
The study connects clinical coordination from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi with technical AI development from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BIT Mesra. It also includes district-level, block-level, and public health-linked sites across Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh to support data collection, validation, and generalizability.
indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
This project is supported as an ICMR-funded multidisciplinary and multicentric research initiative focused on AI-based non-invasive detection and analysis of anemia in pregnant women.
Main Coordinating Clinical Site
Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi serves as the main coordinating clinical site. RIMS contributes clinical leadership, obstetrics and gynaecology expertise, pathology diagnosis, peripheral smear interpretation, laboratory-based diagnostic support, participant recruitment, and clinical validation.
Technical AI Site
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra serves as the technical AI site. BIT Mesra contributes to data preprocessing, clinical image analysis, peripheral smear image processing, numeric data modeling, multimodal deep learning, explainable AI, website support, and digital deployment planning.
